NCAA Basketball: Top 10 players to wear jersey No. 14 in 2023-24 season
By Joey Loose
8. Keegan Records (Colgate)
No matter the team, the conference, or other surroundings, a lot has to go right for a team to dominate a league like Colgate has in the Patriot League across the last half decade. While he’s certainly not solely responsible for that succeed, Records has spent the last five years with those Raiders and has definitely played a role in their breakthrough. He’s been a starting forward each of the last four seasons and is fresh off a productive final season in Hamilton.
Records put up 11.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, numbers that were actually a slight step down after a brilliant senior season the year prior. Both years ended the same, with the Raiders advancing to the Big Dance after conference titles. This season ended with First Team All-Patriot honors yet again for Records, who ranked as one of the league’s top rebounders and shot blockers.
Early returns were good, with a 17-point, 13-rebound effort in a loss at Syracuse. Records had 22 point and 8 rebounds in an impressive road win at Vermont and played well especially in the back half of Patriot League play. Down the stretch, he played the kind of basketball that Colgate needed, helping inspire this team to another Patriot League Tournament title. Records ended the campaign with 14 points in the Big Dance in a tough loss against Baylor.
