7. Matt Allocco (Princeton)

After standing out in Oregon at the high school level, Allocco landed at Princeton, though his timing was unfortunate. His freshman year was canceled by the pandemic, though he didn’t waste time once he finally got on the court. The Tigers certainly relished his efforts the last two seasons as a starting guard, with his greatest numbers this past season.

Allocco’s senior season saw him average 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, also knocking down 43% of his 3-point attempts. He was a critical part and the third-leading scorer on a Princeton team that won another regular season crown in the Ivy League, though they did fall short in the postseason. His overall efforts earned him Second Team All-Ivy League with great work in his final year with the Tigers.

He’d get his season off to a fantastic start, scoring 21 points on opening night in a win against Rutgers. His fast start included 22 points in a road win at Duquesne during a 9-0 start to Princeton’s season. Allocco would later drop 25 points on Dartmouth and inspire a hot finish to the regular season for the Tiger, though they were upset by Brown in the league tournament. Allocco’s career continues at Notre Dame next season.
