Saying that nothing transpires during the offseason in the world of college basketball would be factually untrue. We’ve seen numerous coaching moves, hundreds of players changing teams through the Transfer Portal, and plenty of other pieces of news since the season ended in early April. Frankly there’s more than enough going on in this sport even without games actually being played.

That being said, we do miss the live action on the court, which won’t return until the next season in November. Instead of lamenting over that fact, we’ll be looking back a bit at this most recent season because there were plenty of things going on. The focus isn’t specifically on the NCAA Tournament, but the season as a whole and specifically on certain individual players.

Today’s focus continues to be on players’ specific numbers, continuing a pretty new series ranking each player based on the number on their backs. This isn’t a look at Big Ten players or 4-star recruits, but anyone wearing a certain number can absolutely be considered. Obviously, it’s still a ranking and only the very best can be featured today.

More than three hundred D1 players wore #2 this past season, meaning we had quite a difficult task narrowing down the list. We’re starting off with a number of honorable mentions before diving into the Top 10, keeping in mind several different factors. Many may disagree with the inclusions or rankings, but we’re doing our best to balance individual stats, metrics, and how their teams performed this year. Without further ado, let’s run through these names.
