6. Jaylin Williams (Auburn)

It’s been a great run in recent years for Williams at Auburn, though his role fluctuated several times. He’s a great player who’s done what Bruce Pearl and company have needed from him and he certainly fulfilled that in year five with the Tigers. While Auburn’s season didn’t end as they intended, Williams continued to grow into quite the forward.

The former 4-star recruit averaged 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in his third season as a starter at Auburn. He had the best shooting numbers of his career, ascending to 39% from outside the arc and 57% from the floor. He was an important presence in a strong Auburn frontcourt, earning Second Team All-SEC while finishing near the top of the nation in true shooting percentage and several offensive metrics.

In a season where Auburn won 27 games and finished 2nd in the SEC, Williams stood out on offense many times, scoring 24 against Indiana weeks before a 26-point effort in a win over rival Alabama. There were other nice performances, though Yale eliminated the Tigers in a shocking first round upset. Regardless, Williams proved his worth and value with much better nights for Auburn across quite the career.
