5. Blake Hinson (Pittsburgh)

It’s been quite the road to this point, but Hinson has really come into his own in recent years. He started off his college career at Ole Miss way back in 2018 and later missed a pair of seasons due to medical issues and transferring, arriving in Pittsburgh two offseasons ago. A big piece of last year’s revival for the Panthers, Hinson was even better as a senior.

Putting up the best numbers of his career, Hinson averaged 18.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in what would be another decent season at Pittsburgh. His outstanding play led to First Team All-ACC honors while also taking the Panthers to a 4th place finish in the conference. Furthermore, his 42% mark from outside the arc led the ACC, finishing 12th in the nation in made 3-pointers on the season.

Hinson’s great performances were a regular occurrence, including a 29-point game in a win over rival West Virginia near the beginning of the season.  He topped 20 in road wins over Duke and Virginia and had an incredible 41-point outing in a win over Louisville. While the Panthers just missed out on the Big Dance, Hinson continued to grow his game and certainly stood out among the best offensive weapons in the ACC.
