7. Steven Crowl (Wisconsin)

It’s easy to be disappointed by what Wisconsin has or hasn’t done in recent years, but Crowl has been an important piece to the Badgers since arriving on campus back in 2020. While he didn’t do much as a freshman, he developed into a starting forward in each of the last three seasons. Wisconsin has needed his efforts throughout these recent years and he had another fine effort as a senior.

During what became a 22-win campaign for the Badgers, Crowl would average 11.2 points and 7.3 rebounds a game with the best shooting numbers of his career. He made 56% of his field goal attempts including 45% from 3, albeit in limited opportunities. Crowl emerged again as one of the Big Ten’s best rebounders and impacted every part of the game in his time in Wisconsin.

Crowl had 15 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Virginia early in the year and scored 16 in an even better win against Marquette. He’d have a few double-doubles in conference play and had a 22-point outing in a tough loss to Iowa. Overall, Crowl had nice contributions and helped guide the Badgers to three wins at the Big Ten Tournament, though his season was ended in upset to James Madison at the Big Dance. He’ll be one of the few familiar faces on this roster next season, hoping to build on what he’s done most recently.
