NCAA Basketball: Top 10 players to wear jersey No. 24 in 2023-24 season
By Joey Loose
1. PJ Hall (Clemson)
The last four seasons have seen Hall transform from intriguing prospect to game changing forward while at Clemson. He didn’t have much of an impact as a freshman, but Hall really grew into the game and into a major role with the Tigers. Each of his last three seasons have seen significant gains and he’s coming off what’s clearly the most successful and impressive year of his basketball career.
Hall just averaged 18.3 points and 6.4 rebounds, standing out as Clemson’s top scoring threat and one of the best frontcourt pieces in the ACC. He earned First Team All-ACC honors, sitting among the best scorers and shot blockers in the conference. As important as individual stats and accolades are, Hall was even more impressive late in the year, helping lead the Tigers to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
Hall helped Clemson to a hot start to the season, including 22 points and 11 rebounds in a win at Pitt and nice efforts against Boise State and TCU. He really stood out with 31 points and 17 rebounds in an overtime loss to Georgia Tech and dropped 25 points in Chapel Hill in a major upset win against North Carolina. During Clemson’s run to the Elite Eight, Hall scored in double figures in all four games and really stood out at the national stage in a historic season for his program.
