Honorable Mentions

Barrington Hargress (UC Riverside)

A tremendous young athlete from California, Hargress chose UC Riverside to begin his collegiate career and was a breakout player for the Highlanders. As a freshman he led the program in scoring, averaging 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. UC Riverside finished 5th in the league, though Hargress’s dynamic performance earned him Big West Rookie of the Year honors.

Gibson Jimerson (Saint Louis)

An important guard at Saint Louis for the last five seasons, Jimerson put up quality numbers in recent years after working his way into a major role. The program’s top scorer, he just averaged 15.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists with solid numbers in an otherwise dreadful season for the Billikens. This wasn’t his most productive season, but Jimerson was still a major contributor and will be back for a final season under new coach Josh Schertz.

Kyky Tandy (Jacksonville State)

A former Top 100 prospect from way back in 2019, Tandy spent four seasons at Xavier, but saw his role diminish significantly after freshman year. As a senior at Jacksonville State, he had profound success, averaging 17.8 points and 2.6 rebounds a game for the Gamecocks. While Jacksonville State wasn’t exactly competitive in the CUSA, Tandy did more than enough to earn First Team All-CUSA honors after leading the league in scoring and free throw percentage.

Cobe Williams (Tulsa)

Williams spent four years developing into a key backcourt weapon at Louisiana Tech before choosing to transfer to Tulsa for his final season. Rejoining former coach Eric Konkol, Williams averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in his lone season in the ACC, putting up some incredible numbers to end his career. He ranked third in the AAC in steals, ninth in assists, and was a major presence for the Golden Hurricane.

JaCobi Wood (Murray State)

After decent work as a bench player at Belmont, Wood jumped over to Murray State starting in his junior year and took on a more significant role with the Racers. This past senior season featured Wood averaging 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. While Murray State didn’t exactly have a prolific season as a team, Wood’s raw numbers were exceptional as one of the most utilized players in the MVC.
