NCAA Basketball: Top 10 players to wear jersey No. 24 in 2023-24 season

9. Donta Scott (Maryland)
During his career with the Terrapins, Scott would start most of the 162 games he’d play for Maryland. A long successful journey saw Scott standout as an important playmaker for most of his time in College Park. He played under multiple head coaches, contributed on some breakthrough success for the Terrapins, and ended his career on a high note despite what wasn’t Maryland’s most impressive season as a team.
Year five saw Scott average 11.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. These numbers weren’t exactly career-bests, though Scott provided consistency in a season that was far from consistent for the Terrapins. This team finished the season under .500, though that wasn’t all on his shoulders. Scott was a well-rounded weapon for this program, with decent numbers across the board, as one of the top options on this team.
The Philadelphia native had a few notable performances in his final campaign, beginning with a 19-point effort against South Alabama way back in November. He did put up 17 points in a nice road win at UCLA and scored 22 against Michigan early in league play. Maryland suffered to several tough losses against the Big Ten, though Scott did contribute during road upsets against Illinois and Rutgers. He also added another 16 points in an upset over Rutgers in the Big Ten Tournament at the tail end of his season.
