7. De’Sean Allen-Eikens (Cal State Northridge)

Certainly well-traveled, Allen-Eikens just finished his senior year at Cal State Northridge, though this was the third D1 school for the young guard. He spent his first two years at North Dakota in his home state, but bolted for New Orleans in 2021. His final seasons with both of those schools were limited, though he’s certainly come onto the scene far more since joining the Matadors.

Year five at the collegiate level saw Allen-Eikens average 18.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists with by far the best offensive numbers of his career. He made 48% of his field goals, shot well from all over the court, and helped guide Cal State Northridge to a 19-win campaign, a twelve win improvement. For his impressive efforts, standing out as one of the league’s top scorers, he was named First Team All-Big West.

Allen-Eikens scored in double figures in every nonconference game, most notably scoring 32 points against Pacific before dropping 17 points in a massive upset at UCLA. The offensive fireworks certainly didn’t cease during Big West play, including a myriad of 20-point efforts in February. After putting up 34 points at Hawaii in the regular season finale, he led the Matadors to the second round of the conference tournament.
