9. Dajuan Harris Jr. (Kansas)

Not only has Harris put up some incredible figures during his half decade in Lawrence but he also helped lead Kansas to the national championship back in 2022. However, today’s focus is only on his redshirt senior season, one that started with high expectations on a Jayhawks team many considered one of the heavy favorites in the preseason. While that didn’t quite come to pass, Harris played fantastic basketball at the point once again.

He’d average 8.5 points and 6.5 assists with decent shooting numbers when he wasn’t setting up the rest of the offense for success. These aren’t exactly numbers that jump off the page, but Harris’s role as a distributor was of vital importance for these Jayhawks. He earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Defense team once again, finishing among the national leaders in assists while getting Kansas to the NCAA Tournament once more.

High-scoring affairs weren’t regular for Harris, though he did drop 23 points in an early win over Kentucky at the Champions Classic. You could always count on his role in the offense, culminating in a season-high 11-assist effort (his only double-double) in Kansas’s Tourney loss to Gonzaga to end the year. Never discount how important a championship-level point guard is in a system like the Jayhawks, even if the individual stats don’t compare with some of these other names.
