7. Jeremy Roach (Duke)

When he arrived at Duke, Roach was a highly rated prospect, but his career has turned out a bit differently than some of the other blue chip prospects that ended up in Durham. Not only did Roach stick around after his freshman season, he spent a full four seasons of college ball with the Blue Devils. A senior this past season, not only were his efforts on the court appreciated but his veteran experience and leadership were valuable.

Taking another step forward as a senior, Roach would average 14.0 points and 3.3 assists while making 43% of his 3-pointers with the best shooting numbers of his career. He’d play an important role in another great season for the Blue Devils, becoming the key veteran piece of this backcourt. Roach netted Third Team All-ACC honors and made sure his impact was felt to the very end of the season.

Roach played well throughout the season, even scoring 21 points in a nice road win at NC State near the end of the season, though those same Wolfpack would doom his Blue Devils later on. Regardless, he was a solid scorer, hitting double figures in every Tournament game en route to the Elite Eight, including a 15-point, 7-assists performance against James Madison. Though he’s off to Baylor next season, Roach made his impact felt in his time at Duke, playing a certain role in this most recent postseason run for the school.
