4. Casey Jones (Eastern Washington)

Like many other players in this sport, Jones has taken major steps forward with each passing season. The Washington native found a home with these Eagles in his home state and has seen measured improvement in his first three seasons. A minor bench piece as a freshman, he emerged as an important forward at Eastern Washington this past year as a junior.

Year three with the Eagles saw Jones put up 12.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game with decent shooting numbers from all over the court. His contributions were certainly felt as the second-leading scorer on an Eastern Washington squad that won the Big Sky’s regular season crown. Notably, he earned Second Team All-Big Sky and a spot on the league’s All-Defense squad, with notable figures across the board.

Jones showed up on a regular basis, even as the Eagles lost several games to power conference foes during a tough November. He was toughened up for league play and shined, including 16-point efforts against both Cincinnati and Washington State. Months later, he had a 26-point game against Idaho State and followed that up with 30 points against Montana. The Eagles were unfortunately upended in the Big Sky Tournament, though he’s set himself up for success as a senior.
