8. Keeshawn Kellman (Florida Gulf Coast)

Kellman began his collegiate journey at Princeton, though it got off to a pretty slow start. He played just ten games as a freshman before the following season was canceled by the pandemic. His contributions were minor after that until really standing out as a starting forward in his senior year, helping in that miracle run to the Sweet Sixteen. Having exhausted his Ivy League eligibility, Kellman found a new landing spot at Florida Gulf Coast in the offseason and shined even brighter in the Sunshine State.

Certainly far more productive than his time with the Tigers, Kellman averaged 12.2 points and 7.0 rebounds a game for the Eagles. He made an impressive 70% of his 2-point field goal attempts and ranked second in the entire nation in field goal percentage. Florida Gulf Coast found themselves 6th in the A-Sun, though Kellman stood out as one of the league’s best rebounders and shot blockers and made a total impact in Fort Myers.

In a season with a handful of double-doubles, Kellman also scored 23 points in a loss at Cincinnati. His numbers weren’t great in the team’s upset over Florida Atlantic, though he did show up during league play. Kellman had a 20-point game against Kennesaw State and an 18-point, 14-rebound outing against Queens. Florida Gulf Coast didn’t play elite basketball this season, but Kellman was one of the most intriguing players in the A-Sun and had quite the year on his own.
