10. Devan Cambridge (Texas Tech)

Although originally from Nashville, Cambridge has had quite the journey as a college basketball player. His career began his three years at Auburn followed by a more productive senior season at Arizona State. This past offseason saw Cambridge transfer again, this time landing at Texas Tech under new coach Grant McCasland. He’d honestly have made his way higher onto this list had his season not been cut alarmingly short.

Cambridge suffered a season-ending injury in early December that kept him off the court for most of the Red Raiders’ season. However, his production in those eight games was valuable enough to include him in these rankings, as he averaged 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. It’s hard to compare or extrapolate what could have been for Cambridge in his fifth collegiate season; all we can say is that he was valuable when he was out there.

Playing just a month of the season really hurt for Cambridge, though he had a few standout performances in that brief amount of action. He scored 15 points against San Jose State in an early tuneup and played well during the Battle 4 Atlantis, including 17 points in a win over Michigan. After a 16-point game at Butler, Cambridge would lose the rest of his season but will hopefully be healthy and back in action next season.
