9. Tyrese Samuel (Florida)

Though he wasn’t a starter until his senior year, Samuel was productive across the last four seasons at Seton Hall. His game really took off in that final season and his decision to transfer last offseason proved most effective. Samuel spent his final collegiate season down at Florida and contributed on something of a bounce back season for the Gators.

This veteran forward was vital in Florida’s frontcourt, averaging 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting nearly 60% from inside the arc. His efforts with the Gators earned him Second Team All-SEC honors, helping lead the Gators to 24 wins and a trip back to the Big Dance. He led the conference in field goal percentage and made 2-pointers, becoming a dependable force in the paint throughout the year.

This was a season that included nearly a dozen double-doubles, with a handful of them coming very early in the year. Samuel had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a nice win over Pittsburgh and later dropped 21 on Michigan in late December. He’d have a string of efficient performances during league play, helping lead the Gators to the title game of the SEC Tournament before his career ended with 11 points in a loss to Colorado.
