17. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were a bit of a mystery last year, notching big-time wins over Mississippi State, Duke, Clemson and North Carolina, yet finishing with a 14-18 (7-13) record.

Despite an uninspiring record, Yellow Jacket head coach Damon Stoudamire deserves leaps and praise for quickly developing freshman Baye Ndongo and freshman Naithian George into high-impact roles. Ndongo and George were two of the more impressive freshmen in the ACC last season.

Entering 2024-25, Georgia Tech will welcome the 14th-best composite rank recruiting class headlined by four-star CG  and four-star SF  -- both from Overtime Elite -- giving Stoudamire another core of intriguing young players to monitor heading into the season.

If Stoudamire can do what he did with Ndongo and George, he can surely do it with Mustaf and Sutton.

Mustaf, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, boasts a physical and strong build while guarding multiple positions as a versatile defender. Sutton, who stands at 6-foot-8 and 175 pounds, boasts a lengthy frame as a two-way player, impacting both ends of the floor.

The Yellow Jackets should be much-improved entering 2024-25. The additions of Jaeden Mustaf and Darrion Sutton are a key reason why.
