NCAA Basketball: Top-25 impact incoming recruiting classes entering 2024-25 season
7. Arizona State Sun Devils
After making the NCAA Tournament in 2023, the Arizona State Sun Devils took a step back last season, finishing with a 14-18 (8-12) record in its final year in the PAC-12.
Now entering their first season in the Big 12, it's safe to say that Arizona State had a successful spring. By making notable waves on the recruiting trail, the Sun Devils were among the 10 biggest winners of the 2024 recruiting class.
To begin, Bobby Hurley landed four-star F Amier Ali, the first to commit to Arizona State's talented recruiting class.
Then he flipped five-star C Jayden Quaintance from Kentucky after the departure of John Calipari. Interestingly enough, Quaintance turned only 17 this month, making him among the more fascinating prospects in the 2024 recruiting class.
In May, Hurley heightened the interstate rivalry by flipping five-star shooting guard Joson Sanon from Arizona. Talk about a whirlwind.
The expectation in Tempe is that all three freshmen will serve an instrumental role. Bobby Hurley even stated that he expects the freshman trio to be 'difference makers' this season, according to an article by Chris Karpman of 24/7 Sports.
The Sun Devils will have no shortage of raw talent heading into November. With the freshman trio in the mix, Arizona State hopes to make an impact in the 2024-25 season.
