22. Kansas Jayhawks

Despite being the preseason No. 1 team in the country last season, the Kansas Jayhawks struggled to find consistency in Big 12 play, going 10-8 and never winning more than two games in a row in conference.

Regardless of their struggles last season -- stemming from lack of depth, the Kevin McCullar injury and lack of three-point scoring -- the Kansas Jayhawks find themselves with arguably the best roster situation in the country entering the 2024-25 season.

Hunter Dickinson is back. KJ Adams is back. Dajuan Harris Jr. is back. They landed coveted transfer portal target AJ Storr from Wisconsin. So how can their 2024 recruiting class provide an instant impact?

Even if Kansas may not have landed a high volume of incoming freshmen, it is who they added that makes the difference.

Incoming to Lawrence is five-star freshman Flory Bidunga, a 6-foot-9 big man with a naturally athletic frame. With the return of Hunter Dickson and KJ Adams in the frontcourt, consistent minutes for incoming five-star big man Flory Bidunga remain a question mark.

However, even if Flory Bidunga is a multi-year project, expect Bidunga, who is versatile at the four and five, to back up Dickinson as a freshman.

Bidunga is amongst the more explosive and athletic prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. His impact should not be overlooked despite Kansas’ returning talent.
