No. 2 - Indiana Hoosiers: Mike Woodson goes all in

Last season, Mike Woodson assembled a clunky-fitting roster. Indiana struggled last season. Despite its strong finish, the Hoosiers were not close to receiving an at-large bid. At a program like Indiana, one bad season will find its coach squarely on the hot seat. And that is precisely where Mike Woodson finds himself.

Mike Woodson seems to have gotten that message because this year’s Hoosier team is going all in, compiling the second-best transfer portal class in the country, according to 24/7 Sports, to complement key returnees in Malik Reneau and Mackenzie Mgbako.

Highly-coveted big man Oumar Ballo (Arizona), who was among the top bigs that were available in the portal, star freshman G Myles Rice (Washington State) and high-level scorer Kanaan Carlyle (Stanford) highlight this talent-heavy portal class.

The bottom line, the Hoosiers will have no shortage of talent. It’s a clear roster upgrade as Indiana enters the 2024-25 NCAA basketball season, making the Hoosiers among the top offseason winners. Now it's up to Woodson -- who has gone all in with this year’s group  -- to piece this unit together as it looks to compete for a Big Ten regular season title.
