We're now two months since the start of the NCAA Basketball transfer portal opening, with nearly 2,000 D-I players leaving. Many have since picked new homes, including some major notable names. While many are now off the board, there are still some key pieces available that can have an impact on the 2024-25 campaign.

The following is a power ranking of the 30 best available players in the transfer portal. Some honorable mentions include Cedric Howard (Eastern Washington), Jaykwon Walton (Memphis), and Dylan Addae-Wusu (Seton Hall).

30. KK Robinson - Little Rock Trojans

2023-24 season stats: 15.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and 4.3 apg

After limited production in the first three years in the SEC, Robinson broke out in the OVC, leading Little Rock in both scoring and passing. The former top-100 prospect not only had six games with 20+ points, but he also had a triple-double (18-10-12) against SIUE. It’ll be interesting to see of Robinson moves back to the power conference level for one more time or stays in the mid-major ranks.

29. Noah Waterman - BYU Cougars

2023-24 season stats: 9.5 ppg and 5.4 rpg

Waterman is a 6’11 guard/forward with 81 career starts for three different programs. He shot 37% from three-point range as a starter at BYU, scoring 17+ points on seven different occasions. The stretch forward recently hit the transfer portal after the coaching change with the Cougars and is one of the better pure shooters available.

28. Tyree Ihenacho - North Dakota Fighting Hawks

2023-24 season stats: 14.5 ppg and 3.9 apg

The 6’4 guard is coming off a career year in his second stint at North Dakota, going for 20+ points in seven of the 21 games. That includes a 24-point and 8-assist outing against South Dakota. Ihenacho originally committed to Wyoming this offseason but de-committed due to a sudden coaching change, making him a brand new free agent.
