6. Jaylen Wells - Washington State Cougars

2023-24 season stats: 12.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg

After two years at Sonoma State, Wells was one the best impact JUCO transfers this past season, third on the team in scoring. The 6’8 combo forward shot 42% from three-point range and had four games of at least 20 points, including 27 (on 6/10 3PT) in a road win over Arizona. Wells has the size and shooting ability to be a future pro and if he returns from the draft process, will be a highly sought-after wing.

5. AJ Hoggard - Michigan State Spartans

2023-24 season stats: 10.7 ppg and 5.2 apg

The four-year guard from Michigan State is one of the top active players in assists in NCAA Basketball, with three straight years with at least 4.8 apg. Hoggard had six games with at least eight assists, including 12 points and 10 assists in a win over Stony Brook. There isn’t a more proven point guard in the transfer portal than Hoggard who could be the missing piece for a team still looking to run the offense.

4. JT Toppin - New Mexico Lobos

2023-24 season stats: 12.4 ppg and 9.1 rpg

On a team with three quality guards, Toppin proved to be the best draft prospect, even as a freshman. The 6’9 forward led the Mountain West in both rebounds and blocks at nearly two a game. The Conference Rookie of the Year had 27 points and 11 rebounds in the breakout performance against Toledo, along with 15 points and 16 rebounds versus Fresno State. Toppin isn’t as experienced as the other forwards available but he may have the most talent and potential of the frontcourt group.
