NCAA Basketball: Tramon Mark, Myles Rice among top 50 early transfer commitments
Yes, we're still in the thick of the NCAA Tournament, with the Elite 8 tipping off this weekend. And yes, many people have negative opinions about the NCAA Basketball transfer portal even being open right now before the games have been completed.
But the reality is that the show must go on and we need to keep track of all the players who've committed. And after the first couple of weeks, we're starting to see players make decisions on where they'll be for the 2024-25 season.

50. Sam Alexis - Florida Gators
2023-24 season stats (at Chattanooga): 10.8 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.1 bpg
The 6’9 forward had a breakout sophomore campaign for the Mocs, also earning all-defensive honors. Alexis produced 11 double-doubles, including a 13-point and 17-rebound performance against Mercer. He’ll replace Tyrese Samuel in the frontcourt for Florida and depending on how long Micah Handlogten needs in his recovery, could get some minutes at center as well.
49. Reyne Smith - Louisville Cardinals
2023-24 season stats (at Charleston): 12.8 ppg and 2.1 rpg
Smith was the leading scorer on the best team in the CAA, taking around 90% of his shots from beyond the arc. He’s fairly efficient there, making 39% of his attempts at over eight a game. The 6’2 guard had eight games of 20+ points, including a 32-point game against Campbell on 10/15 shooting from deep. Smith follows HC Pat Kelsey to Louisville, where he looks to continue his shooting ability at the ACC level as a dependable rotation piece.
