NCAA Basketball: Tramon Mark, Myles Rice among top 50 early transfer commitments
12. Meechie Johnson - Ohio State Buckeyes
2023-24 season stats (South Carolina): 14.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, and 2.9 apg
After two underwhelming years at Ohio State, Johnson transferred over to South Carolina, where he produced a career-high season, leading the team to the NCAA Tournament. He had 10 games of 20+ points, including a career-high 29 in a win over Notre Dame. Johnson is back home with the Buckeyes, as effectively the replacement for Roddy Gayle Jr., who hit the portal himself.
11. Kylan Boswell - Illinois Fighting Illini
2023-24 season stats (at Arizona): 9.6 ppg and 3.6 apg
As a full-time starter, Boswell was an effective player on both ends, including making 38% of his three-point shots. The sophomore had eight games with at least 15 points, including 20 points and eight assists against Long Beach State in the NCAA Tournament. He’s set to be the new point guard at Illinois, giving them a traditional ball-handler to run the offense next season.
10. Terrence Edwards - Louisville Cardinals
2023-24 season stats (at James Madison): 17.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.4 apg
The 6’6 guard was the Sun Belt Player of the Year this past season, leading the surprising Dukes to an NCAA Tournament appearance and win over Wisconsin in the Round of 64. Edwards had 24 points in the season-opening win over Michigan State, along with a career-high 30 points at Georgia State. He’s part of a brand-new roster at Louisville under new HC Pat Kelsey and currently projects to be the go-to option for the ACC program.
