18. Hysier Miller - Virginia Tech Hokies

2023-24 season stats (at Temple): 15.9 ppg and 4.0 apg

The 6’1 point guard led the Owls in both scoring and passing this past season, though it was on just 35% shooting from the field and 29% from deep. Miller did have some big individual outings, including 32 points and 10 assists in the season-finale against UAB. He’ll be joining another AAC transfer (Jordan Ivy-Curry) in a new-look backcourt at Virginia Tech, which won’t be as good as Hunter Cattoor and Sean Pedulla in shooting but can create for themselves and others better.

17. BJ Freeman - Arizona State Sun Devils

2023-24 season stats (at Milwaukee): 21.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 4.1 apg

The 6’6 guard was an All-Horizon player in both seasons he was at Milwaukee, including 16 games of at least 20 points. That includes 32 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in the conference tournament win over Green Bay, along with a career-high 38 points versus Purdue-Fort Wayne. Freeman gives ASU a desperately needed go-to guy on offense and replaces Jamiya Neal in the lineup.

16. Dion Brown - Boston College Eagles

2023-24 season stats (at UMBC): 19.0 ppg and 7.6 rpg

The 6’3 guard was one of the top scorers in the AEC this past season, shooting 51% from the field. Brown had a whopping 15 games with at least 20 points, including 31 points and 13 rebounds at Bryant. He’s set to be the lead guard at a Boston College squad that lost both Claudell Harris and Jaeden Zackery to the portal.
