12. Lamont Butler - Kentucky Wildcats

2023-24 season stats (at San Diego State): 9.3 ppg and 3.0 apg

Butler is most known for his game-winner basket in the Final Four win over FAU a year ago but he’s also one of the best perimeter defenders in all of NCAA Basketball, recently earning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. He can add some offense too, including a 23-point outing against Wyoming. Butler will add needed defense to the rebuilding Kentucky squad, while likely being surrounded by plenty of offense as well.

11. Noah Reynolds - TCU Horned Frogs

2023-24 season stats (at Green Bay): 20.0 ppg and 4.5 apg

The 6’3 guard was a star in the Horizon League, shooting 51% from the field and having six games of at least 30 points. Reynolds’ season-high was a 39-point effort against Wright State, as well as 32 on the road at Robert Morris. Outside of Jameer Nelson, TCU loses all the other guards from its rotation, allowing Reynolds to come in and have a large role in the Big 12 program’s offense.

10. Cade Tyson - North Carolina Tar Heels

2023-24 season stats (at Belmont): 16.2 ppg and 5.9 rpg

The former MVC Rookie of the Year was one of the more efficient players in NCAA Basketball, with shooting splits of 49-47-86. Tyson had nine games of at least 20 points, including 31 points and nine rebounds against Samford. The 6’7 wing should be the sharpshooting replacement for Cormac Ryan, giving UNC a needed shooter on next season’s roster.
