10. Wisconsin (13-3)
It’s pretty clear from their recent play that Wisconsin has emerged as a legitimate contender. They’ve had a few rough outings as a team this season, but own a plethora of nice wins and continue to play successful ball these last few weeks especially into conference play.
The Badgers got a road test on Wednesday but didn’t falter, winning 71-60 at Ohio State for their second true road win of the season. Max Klesmit scored 18 points, AJ Storr had 17, and the Badgers played clean basketball in a nice win over the Buckeyes. They were back on the court a few days later and got Big Ten play off to a perfect 5-0 start with a 71-63 win at home over Northwestern. Klesmit shined again, leading all scorers with 24 points as the Badgers shot 50% from the floor as a team.
Sitting atop the Big Ten standings is no easy feat and Wisconsin sits in incredible shape right now. They’ve handled early road tests in East Lansing and Columbus, picked up some impressive wins in the nonconference, and certainly sit as this conference’s hottest team. Next week brings another road test at Penn State and a home date with Indiana, meaning this unbeaten record could continue.
