13. Marquette Golden Eagles

2023-24 season record: 27-10 (14-6 Big East)

Marquette had a chance to return everyone from the current roster for another year since its stars all have another year of eligibility. However, the program didn’t have to wait long for the decisions, as former Big East Player of the Year Tyler Kolek (15.3 ppg and 7.7 apg) and big man Oso Ighodaro have each decided to enter the NBA Draft.

Those are two big blows for the program but they did get some good news, as Kameron Jones is coming back for his senior season. He led the team with 17.2 ppg and 2.4 apg, shooting over 40% from three-point range. His return alone should keep the Golden Eagles from falling off too much.

As of now, everyone else is set to return to Marquette. Forward David Joplin is the other returning double-digit scorer and should have an even bigger role in the offense. Big man Ben Gold is a breakout candidate to watch, while Stevie Mitchell, Sean Jones, and Chase Ross have shown to be capable rotation perimeter players at the Big East level.

The team will need forwards Al Amadou and Royce Parham to have bigger roles to help make up for Ighodaro’s absence but this roster still has talent, thanks to Jones coming back for one more year.
