Head coach, Dan Hurley has the UConn Huskies playing at an extremely high level as we get into the dog days of March, which is exactly when the madness begins. So always expect the unexpected. However, the Huskies remain the betting favorites to win the NCAA Tournament and here is why.

Uconn is led by the leadership of Tristan Newton, Donovan Clingan, and Alex Karaban, who are all returners from last year's championship team. But it doesn't stop at those three. True freshman and expected lottery pick, Stephon Castle has been spectacular for the Huskies as well contributing an immense amount, averaging 11.2 PPG on 47.4% shooting.

Outside of Hurley's train of consistent recruiting, he also went out into the transfer portal to get some much-needed help, and the addition of Cam Spencer has been exactly that, and more. Spencer is averaging 14.7 PPG and 4.6 REB per game. UConn is currently 28-3 overall, 1st in the Big East, Big East regular season champions, and in a battle with Houston for the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The mix of young, rising talent and experience that the Huskies bring to the table makes them a tough out against any team in the country. But here are the three teams I believe could pose the biggest threat if UConn crosses paths with them in the big dance.
