There was a lot of great basketball last week and that means there were a lot of great individual performances too. Who was the best though?

In six weeks there will be an NCAA tournament bracket and the season is in the home stretch. Every game is magnified and all of the stars are starting to shine the brightest. This weeks Player of the Week award was filled with guys who had huge individual performances. It was hard to cut down the list to find just two players who were worthy of winning the award but at the end of the day the right players were selected for the week.

The mid-major player has not made an appearance this year and was not on my radar until he had a couple of huge games to earn himself the Player of the Week. The mid-major player of the week takes us to the East Coast and the America East conference.

The Power Five Conference is another player who has never been recognized as the player of the week by this publication but has had some huge weeks in conference games. The Power Five player takes us back to the Midwest by way of the Big East. Remember it is all about consistency. These players were the ones who had the most consistent week. They didn’t just have a great game and follow that up with a bad one. Consistency always matters.
