UNC has had a very successful program, to say the least. Nevertheless, it's the success they have accomplished within the NCAA Tournament, or, in other words, the big dance, that has stood out. The legend, Coach Dean Smith, won it all back in 1982 and 1993, along with leading Carolina to 11 Final Fours. Then, of course, recently retired head coach Roy Williams built his award case with national championships back in 2005, 2009, and 2017.

All things considered, it's hard to argue that North Carolina has never been the best in college basketball. Here, we will take a look at each of the box scores from the Round of 64 through the last 10 tournaments. For further context, 2015 and the seasons prior referred to the first game of the tourney as the "Second Round." There will be no listing for 2020 due to the pandemic that plagued all sports entirely, along with last season (2023), because, well, if you know, you know.
