Friday, the Midwest Region will resume action with the Sweet 16 in Detroit, Michigan. One game that has many fans intrigued is No. 5 seed Gonzaga vs. No. 1 seed Purdue.

The Bulldogs enter having won each of their two tournament games thus far by 21 points. That includes an impressive 89-68 win over No. 4 seed Kansas.

Meanwhile, the Boilermakers have also had an easy time of things in the Big Dance. After beating Grambling 78-50, they dominated Utah State 106-67 in round two.

That's why this game is so intriguing. Many expect it to be the first time in the tournament that either of these teams will play a close game.

Of course, it is also a matchup that pits the nation's premier mid-major program against one of the winningest major conference programs of the past five years. It is also a showdown between a Gonzaga program that has a reputation for exceeding postseason expectations and a Purdue program that has been almost an annual postseason disappointment lately.

So how much will fans have to pay to see this matchup in person? Let's take a look at where ticket prices stand.

Purdue vs. Gonzaga ticket prices

Compared to some other Sweet 16 sites, prices to see Gonzaga and Purdue plus Creighton vs. Tennessee are fairly reasonable. In fact, fans can get in the door for under $200 according to StubHub.

However, the seats that are that cheap are going to be closer to the moon than to the court. Seats in the top level are going for as low as $196 in the corners of the arena to as much as $380 along the sidelines.

At the club level, things get a bit pricey. Seats along the baseline can be had for $271 but to sit along the sideline, you could pay up to $671.

In the lower bowl, the seats start at $275 behind the basket and go up to $755 along the sideline. What's more, if you want to sit right behind the scorer's table, you'll have to fork out $1,272.

Given the quality of the Gonzaga and Purdue matchup and the excitement of the tournament, these prices are about as acceptable as anyone could expect. That's a deal that some fans may want to take advantage of.
