The field has been narrowed to just four teams and we are less than two weeks away from crowning a champion.

Alabama, NC State, Purdue, and UConn have punched their tickets to the Final Four.

At the center of all four of these teams are the big men who have been commanding the court and the tournament as a whole.

DJ Burns Jr. for the Wolfpack, Donovan Clingan for UConn, Grant Nelson for the Crimson Tide, and Zach Edey for Purdue.

While all four of these players are elite in their own ways, which of them is the very best?

The Alabama Crimson Tide has surprised the country as the sole SEC team to reach the Final Four. Leading the team in rebounds and blocks is senior forward Grant Nelson.

As the Tide’s big man, Nelson has averaged 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists this season.

In Alabama’s four games during the NCAA Tournament, Nelson averaged just 9.5 points but led the Crimson Tide’s charge in its upset win over the North Carolina Tar Heels with 24 points.

At 6-foot-11 and 230 pounds, Nelson is on the smaller end of the spectrum compared to the other three big men starting for their squads in the Final Four. His statistical averages are also relatively low in comparison to his competition.
