Ranking the March Madness big men at the center of the Final Four
By Sam Fariss
While he isn’t the highest-scoring player in the tournament, Donovan Clingan is one of the most productive shooters from the field.
Clingan shoots 64.3 percent at an astonishing 7-foot-2 and 280 pounds. One of the few players who can actually body up against Edey, Clingan has led the No. 1 UConn Huskies throughout the season.
So far this year, Clingan has averaged 12.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He has amassed 63 points and 14 blocks for the Huskies during the NCAA Tournament.
With how good UConn's entire team has been this season, Clingan hasn't needed to be as good as players like Edey, Burns, and Nelson this year, but he is still the best.
UConn has won its four matchups in the Big Dance by an average of 26.75 points per game – Clingan has contributed 15.75 of those points per game.
If Clingan and Edey face each other in the national championship game, it will truly be a clash of the Titans.
