Ranking the top 8 big men in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament
We all love a big man dunk or a big block on the other end of the court. We have big men to thank for those. While guards to me are the ones that win games, it is a team sport for a reason, and big men are needed on the court. Plus we all love a good big-man story, think back to Gonzaga's Drew Timmie who drew the public eye with his style of play. He definitely made his presence known in the NCAA Tournament.
So looking at the West Region, guards are going to be the scariest part of that region, but some big men should be feared too. These guys can not only score, but they are integral on the glass and either get a stop or get their team another possession.
So let's take a look at the best big men in the West Region and which one could be a game-changer for any team they face.
PJ Hall is a solid center for the Clemson Tiger and obviously adds height coming in at 6-foot-10. Hall is Clemson's leading scorer averaging 18.8 points per game shooting 49.2 percent from the floor. Hall is also pretty good on the glass averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
With Clemson struggling as of late, Hall is going to need to step up even more going forward to will his team into the next round. He has been good in the last four games scoring over 20 points on three of the four.
With Hall's size and ability to shoot the ball, the more shots he can get up, the better this Tigers team will perform. I know I say guards make the difference in March Madness, but Hall is going to have to be the difference maker for Clemson if they want to make a run.
