Tolu Smith is tall and lean but doesn't allow himself to get pushed around. He averages 15.2 points per game but is great on the glass by bringing down an average of 8.4 rebounds. He also shoots well from the floor with a 56.4 field goal percentage.
Smith will need to step up more in the NCAA Tournament. He was quiet towards the end of the season, scoring double digits in just two of the Bulldogs' last five games. The last time Smith went over his season average in points was at the end of February in the Bulldogs' loss to Kentucky which started their four-game losing streak.
Mississippi State has a tough first-round matchup against Michigan State, both teams that got hot in their conference tournament. So Smith will be a key part to helping the Bulldogs get the win and move on to the second round.
