Rick Pitino’s intriguing comments, Seton Hall success among Big East storylines

The Big East season is winding down by the day, and the Conference Tournament is approaching while the picture for it gets much clearer. This team still boasts the best team in the nation, but everybody under them is looking to take their crack at the Huskies and pull off the upset. Only Seton Hall has been able to do it all season, but there have been some close games with them throughout the year.

Teams are also fighting to finish with a top-five spot in the Conference as a bye in the Tournament is a crucial thing to get given how the Big East continues to eat itself alive. The amount of bids this conference is going to get seems to get smaller by the week with the amount of parity you see in the middle. But that is also what makes this conference that much more fun to watch. 

Every game from this point on just feels like it matters so much more, and the tension has continued to build as per usual with these teams battling for their seasons each and every game. Teams on the bubble have provided some great matchups, and chaos has ensued each and every night. But what teams have made the most noise this past week, whether that is for better or for worse?
