SEC Basketball: Ranking the top 20 incoming transfers for the 2024-25 season
By Justin Wiles
06. Sean Pedulla (Ole Miss)
2023-24 Season at Virginia Tech: 16.4 PPG | 4.3 RPG | 4.6 APG | 42.4 FG % | 32.5 3PT%
Sean Pedulla cemented himself as one of the best point guards in the ACC this past season when he earned third-team All-ACC honors. Averaging 16.4 points per game, Pedulla was top-ten in points per game in the ACC, and top-three in assists per game with 4.6.
For most of this past season, Pedulla was the sole driver of the Virginia Tech offense. This impacted some of the shooting averages, but Pedulla was consistently scoring in double-figures. He scored a season high of 33 points in a loss to Miami. He grabbed ten rebounds in that game as well to record his only double-double of the season.
While Pedulla was mostly an offensive threat this past season, he was also a decent defensive player. He averaged 1.2 steals per game and nearly four defensive rebounds, both career highs.
Pedulla should be one of the better point guards in the country this upcoming season. He will once again be the lead guard in an above-average offense, except at Ole Miss Pedulla won’t have to shoulder as much of the scoring load. Pedulla, with his multiple years of experience in the ACC and his offensive capabilities, should prove to be one of the better roster additions in the conference this offseason.
