19. Darlinstone Dubar (Tennessee)

2023-24 Season at Hofstra: 17.8 PPG | 6.8 RPG | 1.4 APG | 53.9 FG% | 39.9 3PT%

Last season Darlinstone Dubar was one of the top scorers in the CAA, averaging 17.8 points while earning second-team all-conference honors. Dubar scored in double figures 31 times, with a season-high of 30 points in wins over Buffalo and Stony Brook. Dubar was an effective floor spacer and made shots from everywhere on the court, hitting nearly 54 percent of his shots on 12.5 attempts per game and just under 40 percent from three on 5.5 attempts.

Dubar also rebounded the ball well last season, averaging nearly seven rebounds per game. He had eight games of double-digit rebounds for Hofstra last season, cementing him as a threat on both ends of the court. He has a good foundation defensively, with his size and length. He averaged 1.2 steals and .9 blocks last season, which should help his role at Tennessee.

There aren’t many concerns with Dubar’s game, but there is always the concern about how his game will translate to the SEC. He has great size for a wing and is a consistent scoring threat from the perimeter which should fit right in at Tennessee without missing a step. Also, he showed up big time in matchups with some of the best teams in college basketball, he dropped seven threes on the way to 24 points in an early season loss to Duke. The skills to be successful are there, and his game should only get better being coached by Rick Barnes, one of the best coaches in college basketball.
