What to know about Seton Hall's 24-25 schedule

Seton Hall's nonconference slate does not have the marquee matchups that last season's did, but there are some quality games on here. They have their usual matchups against local schools like Saint Peter's, Wagner, Monmouth, and NJIT, which should be guaranteed wins.

Fordham at Walsh Gymnasium will be an interesting one, with them using their on-campus arena a bit more often now after the success those games had in the NIT. They take on Hofstra at Nassau Coliseum which should be a win, but may be a bit tougher than expected.

The Pirates also have the Charleston Classic to deal with which includes a game against VCU, and a matchup with either Vanderbilt or Nevada. These are all beatable teams for Seton Hall and they have a chance to win that whole thing during the late November run.

December is interesting for this part of the schedule, with Oklahoma State traveling to Newark for a date in the Prudential Center, this will be a huge Big 12 opponent for them and a big test as to where this team is to the rest of the nation.

But on December 14, they travel to Rutgers, a team with plenty of expectations out of the Big Ten. The Garden State Hardwood Classic has bigger stakes than ever with how good the Scarlet Knights are supposed to be, and the Pirates will have a chance to make a mark in New Jersey with that one.

Big East play will always be tough, and the conference appears to be a bit deeper this time around. But with an easier nonconference slate, they may just be able to create a path to the NCAA Tournament early on in their season.
