2. Impressive hot start

When you have the home-court advantage, getting out to a hot start is always important and even expected out of your team. While the crowd itself was not as packed as a team would like, even for a Wednesday night on Valentine's Day, they sure played like there was a packed house around them because they came out firing on all cylinders.

The Pirates got out to an 18-2 start, and for a team that had been slow in games early all season long, this was a great way to turn the tide for this team's season. This was one of those games that was basically over before it started, and that is something this team needed after their loss to Villanova.

This was surprising for a team like Xavier who had competed against some tough Big East opponents, this was just an uncharacteristic game for this team. But for Seton Hall, they needed to take advantage of a low game for the Musketeers, and that is exactly what this team did in their home arena.

That spark was something they rode up until the very end, and after some early season games where they almost collapsed with a lead, it was great to see them hold on and dominate with this one. The Pirates will need more games like this if they want to get into the NCAA Tournament, but there are still plenty of games left to go before then.
