1. Expectations should still be high for this team

For Seton Hall, a team that had no expectations heading into the year, now has all the expectations in the world following the great stretch they have had so far this season. While yes, the loss may keep them out of the AP Top 25 once we get to next week, the fact this went to triple-overtime will retain plenty of votes, especially after their performance against St. John's. They are still very much in position to remain in those rankings, so there is not much to worry about following this game.

If anything, a team like Seton Hall that has benefitted from a "prove them wrong" mentality, avoiding that number next to their name may come to be a benefit for them in that aspect. But either way, this team has shown they should be considered as one of the top 25 teams in the entire nation.

While the Pirates lose their seat at the top of the Big East following their loss, there is still plenty of Seton Hall Basketball remaining this season, with their next game being the rematch against Providence on Wednesday. They do not just need to come out strong against them, this time they will be expected to put up a great showing against that squad. Now this team heads into a position where expectations are skyrocketing, and it will be interesting to see how this team reacts in that one.

Shaheen Holloway has done nothing but prove he is a great coach in the Big East Conference, and credit will again be given to the job he has done so far, despite this tough loss. But what will test this program is the response to the defeat, and that is what the story will be on Wednesday.
