The Seton Hall Pirates are one of those teams that have been sitting on the bubble for quite some time now, but this is a squad that deserves to be in the field of 68 one way or another. The result of their matchup against St. John's should only factor into their seeding, not whether or not they go dancing or have to play in the NIT for another year.

Seton Hall has put together a quality resume over Big East Conference play, and they have even flown a bit under the radar given their struggles down the stretch at the end of the season. But The Hall is a team that may even have to play in the first four of March Madness, but even that is a bit of a stretch for this team and their resume.

Yes, their nonconference slate is not at the level that you would want a decently ranked NCAA Tournament team to have accomplished, but we have also seen teams with great wins in nonconference play fall off of a cliff, such as the Villanova Wildcats who beat teams like UNC in their slate.

Conference play should be weighed even more heavily than nonconference in this case, especially in a place as tough as the Big East has been this season. Seton Hall has picked up wins against just about everybody in that group and has a chance to even further bolster their resume if they are able to take down the Red Storm. While that will be a tough task to accomplish, regardless of what happens, this is a tournament team.
