Tennessee takes on a Texas A&M squad in need of a big win. Can the Vols find a way to win on the road?
The Tennessee Volunteers head down to College Station to face a good Texas A&M basketball team. Now we all know Tennessee is a top team in the country on both sides of the ball. They've already faced a couple of hard road tests this year but fell short in a couple of them.
Coming off two strong games beating Kentucky on the road and beating LSU at home by 20. I do expect Tennessee to have another strong showing. The Aggies are no slouch of a team especially at home this year. They're led by junior guard Wade Taylor IV, who is averaging 19.7 PPG (Points Per Game) according to ESPN.com.
Tennessee is red hot on the offensive side of the ball currently with their leading scorer Dalton Knecht coming off another 25+ point game. Zakai Zeigler and Jordan Gainey have also been red hot from behind the arch, making it difficult for teams to maintain this Tennessee team. The environment inside Reed Arena tomorrow night is going to be electric and like I said before this wouldn't be the first time the Aggies upset a Top 10 team at home.
Now I do expect this game to be close during the whole duration of the game. Tennessee has proven itself this year multiple times on the road and is led by a lot of veteran talent. I believe we'll see another magical game by potential Player of the Year Dalton Knecht.
With that being said I think Tennessee will take this game in the second half at some point. Keeping their hot streak going and maintaining themselves as a potential #1 seed come March. My score prediction for this game is going to be the Tennessee Volunteers (77) and the Texas A&M Aggies (71).
