3. Shoot the three well this time around

While the Huskies did not have much of a problem picking up the victory over Northwestern, they did have a problem hitting their outside shots in that game. Their usual go-tos of Alex Karaban, Cam Spencer, and Tristen Newton had solid games, but their shooting was what held this team back from an even larger blowout. Newton still put up 20 points, but his 0-6 shooting from three is a concern heading into the next game. Given how great of a scorer he is, he should be just fine but that shot needs to go down as they get further into this tournament.

If they allow San Diego State to continue to shoot the ball well from three, this could be an even bigger problem than meets the eye. The Aztecs shot 48.1 percent from three-point range, and if both of these shooting trends continue, the Huskies' season could end right here.

Whether they need to just get better looks, or if the shots just need to fall, they need to figure this part of their game out one way or another. This team has the ability to dominate with their pure talent, physicality, and ability to get to the basket with ease, but when they can shoot the three, they are shoe-ins for the National Championship. Shooting threes well is key for San Diego State to break this game open early, it is just up to the Huskies to figure it out on their end.
