After going from missing the NCAA Tournament one year to winning 29 games total, an ACC regular-season title and a 1 seed in the Big Dance recently, it's safe to say that UNC Basketball had an overall successful season.

But now, it's time to look ahead to what things will look like for the 2024-25 campaign. From a roster standpoint, the only "knowns" were starters Cormac Ryan and Armando Bacot moving on, due to not having eligibility anymore. As for the other starters, freshman guard Elliott Cadeau is set to return, while forward Harrison Ingram entered the NBA Draft. He has the ability to come back if his stock isn't high enough but the indications are that he's gone.

That leaves star guard and reigning ACC Player of the Year, RJ Davis. He averaged over 21 ppg and was one of the best players in the county. However, Davis doesn't have much of an NBA Draft stock, projected to go late second-round or even undrafted. There have been reports out there that Davis will return for a 5th year but as of now, there haven't been any official announcements from him.

After big man James Okonkwo entered the portal and Seth Trimble returned from the portal to UNC Basketball for another year, the Tar Heels have an idea of what their biggest needs are. They already landed one transfer from the portal and are trying for two more. Here's a look at the current and reported targets for the Tar Heels out there.
