Danny Sprinkle has had success everywhere he's gone

Prior to landing a head coaching position, he landed an assistant position at Cal-State Northridge in 2000, immediately after graduating from Montana State in 1999. It would be his first of two stints on the Matadors’ staff. He would also be on the bench from 2008-2013. In between he would return to his alma mater for a five-year stint as an assistant. In 2013 he would leave Northridge, but not the Big West as he would move to Cal-State Fullerton where he would remain an assistant until 2019 when Montana State would come calling again.

Sprinkle began his head coaching career at the Division I level at Montana State in 2019-20. In four seasons with the Bobcats, he won back-to-back Big Sky tournament titles in 2022 and 2023. After compiling a 52-18 record in two seasons that included a Big Sky Coach of the Year award in 2022, Sprinkle became a hot commodity prior to last season.

He would take over for Ryan Odom at Utah State and all he would do in his only season there is go 28-7, win the Mountain West regular season title, reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and take home the Mountain West Coach of the Year award.

He now takes over at Washington, hoping to continue the success that has brought him an 80-25 record over the last three seasons.
