It's the first year of WCC Basketball without BYU and the conference has already had some interesting results, especially regarding the top teams. The biggest development from the league is the status of Gonzaga, after losing to Santa Clara last Thursday, could be in danger of missing out on the NCAA Tournament for the first time in over two decades.

But could a case be made that the Bulldogs are still the best in the WCC since they still have two other dominant wins? Here's a look at the latest power rankings for the league.

9. Pacific Tigers - 6-13 (0-4)

There's not really any debate as to who the worst team in the WCC is, considering the results. Pacific lost to LMU, Pepperdine, and Portland in the last three games, all on the road. The team's offense hasn't been good, ranking in the 300s nationally. However, a defense that's allowed at least 78 points in all four games is an even bigger problem for the team.

The Tigers only have one double-digit scorer on the season overall in Judson Martindale (10.2 ppg) but they have gotten a boost from Nicquel Blake, a 6'6 guard who missed the non-conference campaign but has returned to average 10 ppg in league play.

Pacific is back at home for its lone game of the week, taking on Santa Clara. With Saint Mary's and Gonzaga coming up, it could be a while before this team gets a win in the box score.
