2. San Francisco Dons - 14-4 (3-0)

The Dons took care of business against the lower tier of the WCC, beating Pacific and San Diego on the road, followed by a 96-69 win over Portland. All five starters were in double figures, led by 26 points from USC transfer Malik Thomas and 18 points and 13 rebounds from Jonathan Mogbo.

San Francisco has two more home games this week that’ll show if they’re truly a contender for the regular season title. LMU and Saint Mary’s are the opponents, with the matchup with the Gaels being the Game of the Week in the league.

1. Saint Mary’s Gaels - 13-6 (4-0)

A rough non-con campaign has put the Gaels into a spot where they may need to win the WCC Basketball Tournament to get in the Big Dance. But right now, they look like the best team in the league. They have three true road wins already, including a 73-49 win at Santa Clara. Aidan Mahaney had 18 points, with Luke Barrett coming off the bench with 17 points and six assists.
