8. Vernon Carey Jr. (2019-20)

Stats: 17.8 ppg and 8.8 rpg

Carey was a top-tier big man for Duke, leading them in both scoring and rebounding in 2020. He also led the ACC with 58% FG shooting and scored 8+ points in every single game. That includes a 31-point and 12-rebound outing against California, as well as 25 points and 10 rebounds in the season-finale win over North Carolina. 

7. RJ Barrett (2018-19)

Stats: 22.6 ppg, 7.6 rpg, and 4.3 apg

Barrett was one of the most prolific CBB players in the last decade, leading the ACC in scoring, earning All-American honors, and winning the Jerry West Award. He opened the season with 33 points to beat Kentucky in the Champions Classic and produced a 23-point triple-double in a win over NC State. While overshadowed by another player in the same class, Barrett was still an all-time great for the program.

6. Paolo Banchero (2021-22)

Stats: 17.2 ppg and 7.8 rpg

The eventual No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft led Duke in scoring, earning All-ACC and All-American honors. Banchero, who led the ACC in made field goals, had 15 games of at least 20 points that year. One included 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Final Four defeat to North Carolina. 

5. Jahlil Okafor (2014-15)

Stats: 17.3 ppg and 8.5 rpg

Okafor had a great case of being the best frontcourt player in the country that year. He led the nation in made field goals and was second in FG shooting percentage at 66%. The consensus ACC Player of the Year and All-American had 18 points in the Final Four win over Michigan State before scoring 10 points to help beat Wisconsin to win it all in 2015.
